Wonder (Book Trailer)
I read this fabulous book on the holidays. It is about an extraordinary boy, August Pullman, who is born with a severe facial abnormality. Auggie is going to school for the very first time. He will be attending Middle School. I'm sure all of us in year 7 can relate to what it is like to be new but just imagine how much more complicated life would be if you were born with a severe facial abnormality that makes other kids run away after taking one look at your face. The book really puts you in Auggie's shoes but it is narrated by Auggie and also other characters whose lives he touches so you get lots of different perspectives. It is a 'wonder' of a book that will have you thinking about what it means to be a good courageous human being, to overcome life's obstacles and will make you laugh and cry.

It could be the rustle of the wind, a creaky floorboard, a whisper or a sound you can't quite place.
These stories are only two sentences long but they will send a chill down your spine and you'll never sleep again.
