There will also be an award that will go to the Teen Library Advisor of the Year! This student will receive a trophy and a special prize. Last year we had a runner-up as well and may consider doing the same this year if we have outstanding volunteers.
So you want to be a Teen Library Advisor?
Are you creative, passionate about reading and technology or just love the Learning Resource Centre and are interested in helping others? Do you want to make a difference for yourself and others?
Why not volunteer as a Teen Library Advisor? As a TLA Volunteer you can be a leader, contribute to the school and help shape what we do in the Learning Resource Centre (Library) and have fun too. We value student input.
We keep the Learning Resource Centre looking tidy and neat, make suggestions for fun activities, help run competitions, write reviews, speak to the public and organise events such as Author Visits. We also go on fun excursions. These are only some of the things we do! Come and see the staff in the LRC if you are interested.
